Would be an amazing machine if it did not break down every single snow event over the past two years.

A must have piece of equipment- takes the work of 3 hand shovelers in our business. Has an ongoing code fault for throttle position sensor, but after warmup we have had no issues.Overall the build quality is satisfactory.

Definitely some issues that need to be addressed. My crew and I have taken 3 hours each time to remove, free up, and reinstall the starter on 3 separate occasions. I would just have an extra starter on stand by knowing there is a constant issue, but the starter is too expensive to sit on a shelf so we take the time to free it up and heavily spray it with fluid film. I was told that rock salt and the spreader causes this but I dont use rock salt. I was also told that since I dont use rock salt that I would not need the snorkle upgrade. If I dont start the machine daily it is of no use to us as it more than likely will not start when we absolutely need it on snow occasions. I've burnt more fuel starting it daily then using it in the field just so it is somewhat reliable. The sensor for the riding platform is absolute junk and I have replaced it twice. It still doesn't work properly so to be able to use it we have to unplug the sensor and bypass it. The motor doesn't like the cold and it has to warm up for about 15 minutes in order to be able to throttle up. We have spent countless hours diagnosing and fixing small issues to get through the night and luckily my team and I handled it without taking it in to be serviced. Also, back in Oct 2025 I ordered and paid for an enclosure and was told it was on back order until mid December, then mid Jan and I still haven't heard what's going on with that. I've seen others complaining about no availability with parts and the dealers are saying the same thing. With how much I have invested into this, I expected more reliability.

Our crew now enjoys sidewalk maintenance with this unit. Its hydraulic system provides a strong support to attachments. The drive system is really puts the power to the ground, much like a skidsteer. It tries to muscle through all snow types. Only issue we found was into half crusted deep snow where it got stuck. Even being 1000 lbs it want bad with a second guy to help push out. A little faster transport speed would work in our application but was very efficient with both the blade and blower in use. The vents didn’t provide as much heat off the motor as anticipated. We also had a couple of items that didn’t get caught through the PDI which led to hydraulic leaks. Lighting system was more than efficient, standing platform and controls were well positioned whether it was an operator standing 5’3 or 6’2. We did modify the lift lever with a bend to get away from the fairing. The shovel mount was essential for the operator to have at their finger tips when needed. The versatility of attachments is well worth the upgrade between snowrator and snowrator MAG. All in all, this thing is a beast that doesn’t power out with heavy load. It just keeps grinding til the job is done.

Constantly breaking down during a snow storm which is why we need it to operate at 100%. Has electrical and hydraulic issues that make the machine unusable during the snow event.

An excellent machine, with great quality. We have NOT experienced ANY of the flaws that you read about on the forums. We use this machine every snowfall and it has saved us thousands on outsourced snow removal. We hope that the longevity of the product will give us worry free results for at least 5-10 years.

Awesome machine but have had issues with starters and hydro pump. A lot of down time since dealers dont stock parts and boss shut down shipping during the middle of the snow season in the northeast.

I have had three separate breakdowns with this unit since i bought it, and all are electrical related. if there was a way to better resist corrosion in the starter (we do wash our machine regularly), and remove a corner off the bracket where the exhaust o2 sensor location is so the wire does not rub through the machine would be less likely to have issues. also a strobing LED option would be good

I used the SR MAG for the first time this past snow season and I can’t believe I didn’t get one sooner! I own a medium sized landscape business and I needed this seasons ago. Highly recommend

It is a great product to further our sidewalk team with the liquid brine tank as we are moving towards much more liquid brine applications
